Question for you at what psi is the best to shoot your base and clear at?

Why would you not just wet sand it all with 600 it makes it nice and smooth That’s what I would do and yes I have done that many times before

It literally cost nothing to scuff a panel for 2 minutes, its a little bit of base coat which is already made, a little blender which is already being used, and clear which is probably the amount you would throw away after this job anyway....

where is this magical place of outside where there is no pollen, dust or bugs flying around all the time. I am doing a paintjob in a tent and its an absolute nightmare. There is always something... if its not either windy of full of insects in the air, there is me running out of time after base coat and the next day its raining... or some bug gets stuck on the fresh paint and drags its butt all across the panel. I swear i will be sanding this panel back to bare metal and redo the paint for the rest of my life

thanks for 2k tip, acrylic clearcoat was driving me insane, will try 2k can for small jobs.

Brian, my base coat is ready and came out perfect. My question is can I still clear coat a couple of days later cause I ran into some bad weather. If so do I need to sand it for the clear coat get some grip or can I just go ahead and lay it down like that...

Horrible gun technique but modern materials are very forgiving.

Hey Brian thanks for all the great videos. As I was painting with a rattle can, I ran short of finishing my paint job. I was able to get two coat of base on but ran out. I had to reorder more to finish the job. An suggestions or tricks to finish the job? It will take about a week before I get the paint. Thanks

What do you do with the gun for the 5 minutes you are waiting for the paint to dry? Doesn’t the nozzle in the gun dry as well

All great painting tips here i love the info given but i did notice only one thing you missed.... The shop lighting is a major deal imo hard to paint well if you cant see it. Ive only painted a few vehicles and they got better each time. I am about to paint my truck and use these tips you have given. Thanks for taking your time tk really break down your process and products used.

What type of 3M plastic sheeting are you using that striper does not melt?

can someone please suggest the compressor tank capacity required to do such a job assuming spraying at 20 psi on mid size sedan
